ABOUT US
Immanuel Lutheran Church is an active congregation of 2,200 members with an average weekly worship attendance of 750 people. Our mission is to draw people closer to the person of Jesus Christ and assure them of His gifts namely, the abundance of life on earth and the endless life of heaven. A significant part of our congregation’s ministry is our Immanuel Lutheran School, which attracts around 300 students and their families from the Upper Fox Valley region.
Our worship life at Immanuel is enhanced by our Bible study ministry which meets at 9:15a.m. on Sunday mornings between worship services. This hour of fellowship and study provides time for individuals to pray with one another, share stories and refreshments, share life and pour over God’s word – the Bible.
In addition to regular weekly Bible studies, Immanuel offers an exciting Christ-centered Youth Ministry program that reaches out in love to form honest relationships with students and their families, helping them to grow in faith and challenging them to live lives of worship and compassionate service.
We invite you to be a part of our ministry and would look forward to answering any questions you may have.
WORSHIP WITH US
Immanuel offers both traditional and contemporary worship services. The traditional worship services include organ music, liturgy and hymns. The contemporary services are led by a praise ensemble consisting of a vocal team and instrumentalists.
Traditional (Saturday 5:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM)
Immanuel offers a traditional worship setting on Saturday evening at 5:00 PM and Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM. These services, with hymns and liturgies are led in song from the organ, which is a beautiful and grand 37 rank Cassavant, positioned in the balcony of our beautiful and classically designed sanctuary. The service involves the use of the Lutheran Service Book weekly. Communion is served for these services on the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month with an occasional children’s message. While we encourage families to worship together so as to teach the faith to the Lord’s little lambs, we do offer on Sunday mornings a staffed nursery to care for your children.
Contemporary (Sunday 10:30 am)
Immanuel also offers a contemporary worship setting on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. The service involves a worship leader and praise ensemble (consisting of singers and band) positioned at the front of our sanctuary, leading the congregation in a blend of contemporary praise songs and praise choruses. Communion is served at this service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month with an occasional children’s message. While we encourage families to worship together so as to teach the faith to the Lord’s little lambs, we do offer on Sunday mornings a staffed nursery to care for your children.
