Meet Mrs. Anderson

I am beginning my 20th year of teaching and I’m so excited!
I have taught 1st and 3rd grade in San Antonio, Texas, and 2nd and Kindergarten right here at ILS.
I met my husband, Peter, right here at Immanuel and we’ve been married for almost 15 years. We live in Carpentersville and we have 3 children, Lydia is a Sophomore at Dundee Crown, Ethan (7th) and Adam (5th) attend here at Immanuel.
I love playing the piano, singing, being active and sharing Christ with my students. I am eager and overjoyed to go on this journey with you and your child. My favorite part of teaching Kindergarten is watching the “light bulbs” click as they learn and discover new things!

Meet Mrs. Hollquist

I am so excited to work with you and your child! This will be my 11th year of teaching, my 3rd at Immanuel. Before having my children, I spent eight years teaching in the public school system.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kurt, for the past 16 years. We have a daughter - Kate, and two sons - Noah & Owen. Our family is complete with our fur-child, our 9-year-old Maltipoo, Abby.
Family life keeps us busy these days… dance, cheer, basketball, bike rides, and school projects. We also love quiet nights at home to enjoy movies and games (with some ice cream or popcorn, of course!). During the summer, we like to take road trips to explore God’s beautiful creations.
I am looking forward to sharing God’s love with your child this year! It’s going to be such a great year of growth, both academically and spiritually!

Classroom Overview

Kindergarten is a year of great progress here at Immanuel.  We work hard every day as we learn reading, math, science, social studies, music, computers and more.  We learn to be great listeners and great friends.
