Extended Care Program

Extended Care Program

New for 2017-18: Extended Care is open to the community! Daily care or occasional use- Immanuel offers loving care for children with the flexibility families need.  Opens August 16th.  Register now!

We offer an environment that challenges children to play as well as learn how to get along with each other. The children are involved in crafts, games, and other learning experiences throughout the school year.

Children enrolled in our Fun, Friends & Faith Program through 8th grade may enroll.

Extended care is open 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. weekdays, when Immanuel School is open. We are closed when Immanuel is closed for holidays, teacher in-service days, and spring break week. If Immanuel is open for a half day, Extended Care will be open the full day.

Just a Few Reminders for Parents

#1) If your child is with us over the lunch period, he/she MUST bring a lunch – we do not provide lunches.

#2) A packet is provided with dates and times for each two week period. You must fill out these reservation forms and prepay for the period. Failure to do this could result in your inability to use extended care.

#3) We serve healthy snacks and water to drink. Once in a while, we will offer a treat as well as a fruit juice to drink, however, we are following the school’s wellness policy. Thank you for your support in this endeavor.

Snack Suggestions

If you would like to donate snacks, please call to ensure that we do not already have snacks prepared. Ideas include:

  • Cereal (cheerios, frosted mini wheats, kix, rice and/or wheat chex, or any other whole grain)
  • Water or on occasion, we do serve 100% fruit juice once a day
  • Pretzels, graham crackers, whole grain crackers, microwave popcorn (99% fat free)
  • Fresh fruit (already cut as we have no space to do this), snack containers of applesauce
  • Fresh veggies (already cut and ready to serve), and dip for veggies

Supply Needs

Donations of any of the following items would be greatly appreciated and help cut down our expenses:

  • Any of the above mentioned snack items in quantity.
  • White board markers and cleaner for white boards.
  • Plastic spoons, paper plates, napkins, etc.

Thank you to all who consider donating any of the above items at any time. We are grateful for your thoughtfulness and kindness for thinking of us.

If you would like to see the area we learn, play, and snack in, feel free to drop by. We love company, and showing off our good manners.
