Feed My Lambs strives to show Jesus’ love and compassion and draw closer to Him through preparing meals for those in need. This is a great way to get involved with the community and a way to serve others.
Jesus asked Peter, "Do you love me?" Peter answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." - John 21:15
Those interested in serving in this ministry meet in the Immanuel Lutheran Church kitchen the first Saturday of each month between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. to help prepare freezer-friendly meals. Every week these meals are delivered to Elgin soup kitchens that serve the poor and homeless, although they also go to others in need. No cooking skills or experience are required and regular participation is not necessary. Join us when you can for fun and fellowship while you help feed Jesus’ lambs.
